From Hwy 95, Leslie Gulch is 25 miles down a mostly maintained dirt and gravel road. It was well worth the drive.
While I was there, I hiked the Juniper Canyon Trail which took me along and then above a dry creek bed up one of the area's canyons. The hillsides were filled pinnacles, hoodoos, and rock formations of various shapes and sizes. At the end, I had amazing views of Juniper Canyon and other parts of the Owyhee Canyonlands.
The first three quarters of the trail were mostly easy while the final quarter to half mile was very steep as you climbed to the ridgeline. Coming back down was almost more difficult although I didn't fall (I did slip a few times on the loose soil).
