Salt Point State Park has a little something for everyone -- rocks carved and shaped by crashing waves; a grassy headland; forests consisting of redwoods, pines and other trees; prairie meadows; and a wide variety of plants and flowers. I hiked an 8.5-mile loop that took me through the headland and along the shoreline before heading into the inland hills.
