One of the times I researched potential places to visit in my van, I stumbled across this place. While I couldn't find much about it, the name was intriguing enough for me to check it out.
On the drive to the site, I definitely found the terrain interesting in its various features. I just wasn't seeing anything that reminded me of the moon.

The right side of the area had the darkest colors and starkest features. As I shifted to the left, everything became more subtle, and browns began to mix with the black and gray.

The moon-like landscape was confined to a generally circular area with everything beyond returning to a more traditional southwestern desert look.
