I started the hike at McEuen Park in Coeur d'Alene.

Manmade Waterfalls at McEuen Park |
The main trail looped around the base of Tubbs Hill with a significant portion of it following the shoreline of Lake Coeur d'Alene.

The excellent views of the lake and its countless water activities were seemingly endless.

Most of the landscape was dry and scattered with trees. Healthy and fresh small plants were pretty scarce.

At the halfway point, I left the main trail and took the Summit Trail to the top of Tubbs Hill. Unfortunately, the views from the summit were significantly obstructed.

After returning to the main trail, I continued on the loop in a counterclockwise direction. As I began to leave the leave the lakeshore and venture inland back to the city park, the green plant life that had been so absent earlier in the hike began to emerge.
