I parked at Ecola Point which is where they filmed scenes for the movies The Goonies (villains' restaurant and when Mikey solves some clues) and Kindergarten Cop (amusement park). After taking the views from several places, I hiked to Crescent Beach.

At times, the abundant ferns and various plants narrowed the trail.

At several points, I took short spurs to viewpoints overlooking the shoreline and ocean.

From the top of the ridge above the beach, I used fairly steep switchbacks to make my way down. Crescent Beach had many rocks just offshore and a mist that consistently blew in.
